San Francisco Symphony: Bruckner's Romantic Symphony

Airs Monday, September 14, at 1 p.m. On this week’s broadcast concert by the San Francisco Symphony pianist Garrick Ohlsson is the soloist for one of Mozart's best known concertos, the 
Piano Concerto No. 21 and conductor Laureate Herbert Blomstedt will lead the orchestra in a symphonic journey to the age of chivalry with Anton Bruckner's Romantic Symphony, his Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major. Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas will also be heard in an archival recording of Webern's Six Pieces for Orchestra, Opus 6. Rik Malone will host the next broadcast concert by the San Francisco Symphony.
