The Chicago-based Foundation for Women’s Cancer will present a free seminar in Shreveport on Saturday, June 27, for survivors of gynecologic cancer.
Oncology experts from the Willis Knighton Health System and the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center will discuss topics such as gynecological testing, vaccination, and survivorship. Most of the eight physicians leading the informational seminar come from Shreveport and New Orleans. The event will also educate friends and family members about the psychological and medical needs of cancer survivors.
The lunch and presentation are sponsored by the two medical centers, along with the Carolyn and Charles T. Beaird Family Foundation. It will take place Saturday at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Shreveport. Registration is available at foundationforwomenscancer.org
