Airs Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 12 noon. The 2016-17 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Verdi’s La Traviata. Soprano Sonya Yoncheva reprises her widely praised interpretation of the heroine Violetta, with tenor Michael Fabiano as her lover Alfredo, and baritone Thomas Hampson as Alfredo’s protective father, Giorgio Germont. The performance is conducted by Nicola Luisotti, Music Director of the San Francisco Opera. La Traviata will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 11.
