The broadcast, taped last fall, stars soprano Pretty Yende as the princess Pamina; tenor Toby Spence as the prince Tamino; baritone Markus Werba as Papageno the birdcatcher; bass RenéPape as the high priest Sarastro; and Macedonian soprano Ana Durlovski in her network broadcast debut as the Queen of the Night. The performance was conducted by Adam Fischer. Die Zauberflöte will be heard over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, February 28.
