La. State Police Superintendent Retires Amid Travel Scandal

BATON ROUGE-  There’s  going to be a change in leadership for Louisiana  State Police as  Superintendent Colonel Mike  Edmonson announced his retirement Wednesday.  He lead the state law enforcement agency for nine years which caps a 36 career in state government service.  His announcement comes as the legislative auditor and FBI is investigating the state police after a travel scandal involved four state police officers diverting a conference trip from San Diego to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon last year.
