Histopathology of Cytomegalovirus infection of lungs

Airs Thursday, December 8, at 6 p.m. Cytomegalovirus infects 20,000 to 40,000 infants each year, far more than Zika, and can cause permanent disabilities, but it’s something we do not hear much about. This week Dr. Randall Brewer, host of Health Matters, will be joined by Dr. Andrew D. Yurochko, Professor, Dept. of Microbiology & Immunology at LSU Health Shreveport, to talk about CMV research. He’ll also be joined by Dr. Chris Kevil, Vice-Chancellor for Research at LSU Health Shreveport, to talk about his research in the area of cardiovascular health, and other great research going on at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. Questions will be taken during the show at 1-800-552-8502.
