Four European tours and 25 CD releases later, Apollo’s Fire has played to sold-out crowds in New York, Boston, Washington, San Francisco, Madrid, Bordeaux, the Tanglewood Festival and the BBC Proms in London. Now Apollo’s Fire presents Bach’s St. John Passion in a dramatic presentation conceived and directed by Jeannette Sorrell and performed in March 2016. Joining Apollo’s Fire and Apollo’s Singers are soloists Nicholas Phan, tenor (Evangelist); Jesse Blumberg, baritone (Jesus); Jeffrey Strauss, baritone (Pilate); Amanda Forsythe, soprano; Terry Wey, countertenor; and Christian Immler, baritone.
