'Remember in Shreveport When' exhibit adds Bossier in second run

The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport is mounting a reprise of its "Remember When" exhibit it launched last summer. This year, the memorabilia includes Shreveport and Bossier City. The exhibit opens June 16 and runs through July 28.

Public policy institute probes state salaries over $200,000

The New Orleans-based Pelican Institute for Public Policy has released a report on state worker annual salaries that exceed $200,000. A total of 110 state employees currently fall into that category. The vast majority are employed in higher education. Rep. Simone Champagne, R-Erath, has passed a resolution requesting the Board of Regents to study executive compensation at the university system offices and boards and report back to the Legislature in Feb. 2013.

Animation festival screens Pixar's "Brave"

The U.S.'s largest animation festival gets under way in Baton Rouge. The Red Stick International Animation Festival includes a juried competition of animation works submitted from 30 countries. On Sunday, the festival features a 2 p.m. pre-screening of Pixar's forthcoming film, "Brave." All events are held at the Manship Theatre and Shaw Center for the Arts.
