The programs are designed to honor the legacy and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.</p><p>Centenary’s historian and emeritus professor of English, Lee Morgan, spoke Tuesday about integration in Shreveport and on Centenary’s campus. He taught at the college for 44 years, and called it an "island of liberalism" in a conservative city. The Dancing with Parkinson’s class is a partnership between Centenary College and LSU Health Shreveport’s Parkinson’s Disease Resource.</p><p></p><p>Centenary students in the neurological disorders class take to the dance floor alongside a person with Parkinson’s.
