Kermit Poling is joined by Music Director Michael Butterman and pianist James Dick to talk about the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra's Season Finale which takes place this Saturday Night at 7:30 p.m. in RiverView Theatre. The Final Family Concert will take place this Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. SciPort is collaborating with the Shreveport Symphony to offer pre-concert activities and musical demonstrations starting in the RiverView Theater lobby at 2:15 PM. Violinist Daniel Hope and Benny Kim take us on a Journey with Tchaikovsky Sextet in D minor "Souvenir of Florence." Philip Dukes and Carla Maria Rodrigues will join then on viola and Josephine Knight and Keith Robinson on cellist. Then violinist Daniel Hope, violist Philip Dukes and cellists Josephine Knight and Keith Robinson will present Arensky’s String Quartet No. 2 Op.35. To close the program pianist Menahem Pressler joins violinist Daniel Hope and cellist Josephine Knight for the Piano Trio No.4, Op.90 by Dvorak.
