Pianist Gabriela Montero, who trained at the Royal Academy of Music and is known for her incredible improvisations, returns to Heinz Hall to perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3.

Kermit Poling talks with music director Michael Butterman and violinist Vadim Gluzman about the Shreveport Symphony’s 2012-13 season opening concert. The concert features Mr. Gluzman in the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minorn. The concert opens with the Academic Festival Overture of Brahms and concludes with the Dvorak Symphony No. 8, a work filled with beautiful folk melodies and charm.
